  • Park within a "lined parking space."
  • After parking a vehicle, purchase a ticket.
  • Put the ticket on the windshield from within.
  • Observe the time limit. The maximum parking period is 60 minutes (40 minutes).

At present, these two types of pay & display ticket machines are in operation in Tokyo.

3 Display the ticket.

Place the ticket inside the vehicle on the windshield the right way up so that the details can be easily seen by our parking attendants.
If a valid ticket is not displayed on the vehicle, you may be subject to receiving a violation ticket for illegal parking.
Depending on the old or new type of machines, you have a receipt half way down or up in a ticket.

! Observe the time limit.

Even if you purchase and put a ticket but park over the time limit, you may be fined for "illegal parking."
Multiple purchases of a ticket won't buy you additional parking time. You can use just one valid ticket for parking.
